Prerequisites

CEFR level B2 - this module is compulsory for all students who have not yet taken an external examination and optional for everyone else.

Overall objective

to perfect fluency in English before entering the professional world

Course content and organisation

This course is divided into two workshops of eight and six classes. The first workshop is entitled Job Applications and the second is Exam Preparation.

The topics covered in Job Applications include communication in a professional environment (Personal Branding, writing a CV and letter, plus interview role plays). This workshop is followed by a supplementary preparation class for an external examination in English. This first workshop is open to all students and optional, but compulsory for students who have not yet taken an external examination in English.

The second workshop is only for those students who have not yet taken an external examination of English.

These workshops require active involvement on the part of the student and regular attendance. Evaluation is based on personal participation as well as the quality of and effort put into the handling of all activities.

The teaching of modern languages and their respective cultures through the study of various topics and via different media contributes towards the development of mindsets that are indispensable in order to reach these objectives.
